  1. Chalkboard Wall Decal

    May 19, 2011 by barbara

While the spouse was busy helping a friend to look for a barcode scanner for his new retail store, I was at my netbook surfing the internet for ideas on how to decorate my daughter’s room.  I came upon this really cute Ice Cream Cone wall decal from Wall Candy Arts.   This chalkboard decal is spacious and just apt for a little girl’s room.  The sprinkles and stars can be arranged in anyway you like. I think my daughter is going to love this sweet ice cream chalk board.  Don’t you think it look nice?

  2. Pens Made From Recycled Paper

    May 19, 2011 by barbara

Have you seen a paper pen before? Well this is my first time too.  This cool and eco-friendly pen is made of recycled A4 paper.  Awesome eh? All the paper used for this handmade pen was taken from the offices and each sheet of paper is different.  This means that no two pens are alike.   You can get this pen from

  3. Made In Heaven

    May 16, 2011 by barbara

I am in L-O-V-E with Emmerson Made.  Their clothes are so beautiful.  I also fell in love with their jeans and accessories.  They make me want to wear handmade big flower brooches all the time.  This gorgeous fashion line from New Hampshire is making waves everywhere.  Oh I better stop drooling over Emmerson Made and start looking up the bsn online for a friend.  Before I go, here’s what I absolutely adore.  What are your favourites at Emmerson Made?

  4. Alessi Apostrophe Orange Peeler

    May 13, 2011 by barbara

I came across this nifty orange peeler – Alessi Apostrophe from yesterday.  What is does is that it cuts through the peel and leave decorative marks on the orange.  The Alessi Apostrophe also features an ergonomic design which allows the hand to hold easily.  It is made from precision-cast steel with mat finish for easier grip.   Unless I work in a restaurant or I am someone who love throwing fancy parties and use oranges as decoration, I do not think I would get this cool orange peeler.  Would you?

  5. Getting Rid of Messy Cables

    May 8, 2011 by barbara

While the man was busy scouring the internet for refurbished laptops, I am pulling my hair out seeing all the cables on the work table and the mess they are creating.  Not only do they look so untidy, I am also having a problem cleaning the table with all the cables around.  I just stumbled upon this cute Cable Monkey at and I believe this is just what I need right now.  This cute monkey is available in grey, black and brown and can hold a lot of cables together with its long arms.  No more messy tangled cables anymore when you have Cable Monkey.

  6. Making Your Own Party Packs

    May 6, 2011 by barbara

My daughter is celebrating her birthday this month and I am in the midst of preparing her party packs.   I really enjoy doing this because I am trying to make some cute party packs for her.  Yeah, I like DIY stuff.  You can imagine my delight when I stumbled upon some really cute paper bags at Shop Sweet Lulu.  They are just perfect for those who like to DIY the packs like me.  My favourite are the cute Dottie bags and sweet Gingham ones.  They also have loads of pretty party decors like balloons, tissue pouf, party flags and more.

  7. Spotted and Love

    May 4, 2011 by barbara

Have you checked out GapKids lately?  I was at their website just now and fell in love with its collection.  The clothes are just so cool and trendy.  GapKids have the most awesome clothes for kids.   I love shopping there for my 6-year old.  What caught my eyes is their Butterfly Island and Coral Collections. They are incredibly chic and have picked out a few pieces which I think are really nice.  I better hurry and finish up reading about the best creatine supplement before I check out the Womens collection.

  8. Birthday Presents For A Six-Year Old

    April 29, 2011 by barbara

My daughter will be celebrating her birthday next month.  I can’t believe that she’s going to be 6 soon.  Time sure flies.  I am planning a simple birthday celebration for her at the park with her friends.  I have been busy planning for her birthday like sending out the invitations, deciding on the type of food and making party packs. When it comes to gift for her birthday, I found a few really awesome things at Personal Creations.  It is really hard to pick out a gift since everything is so lovely there.  Perhaps I could get her aunts and grandparents to buy her gifts at Personal Creations too.  I have narrowed down to a few things.

  10. Watch Be Home For Dinner TVB Online

    April 26, 2011 by barbara

Be Home For Dinner looks like a very good show which I would enjoy watching.  This not-so-new TVB sitcom replaced Show Me The Happy.   This 80-episode drama stars some of my favourite actors and actresses such as Ngok Wah, Kristal Tin and Queenie Chu.   This drama is about a traditional Chinese household and the love for fine food.  Have you watched this drama?

    Here are the synopsis.

In a Chinese household, the dining table is the place where the family’s relationship revolves upon on. The CHUNG family is the traditional model Chinese family. The father CHUNG KWOK CHYU (Ngok Wah) is the supplement chief editor for Ko Jim Daily. He enjoys a famous reputation as a food critic. Loving the taste in the food markets, CHYU ensures he’s home for dinner every night. He believes the best home cooked dishes are made with the world’s highest quality ingredient…

At the Chung household, CHYU has to face the dough kneading bickering younger brother CHUNG KWOK TUNG (Stephen Au) and his son CHUNG SI HON (Jason Chan), whose values differ from his. His wife BO KWAI SUM (Helena Ma) also fears that she’s not doing enough as the stepmother. And finally there is the half-siblings (same father, different mother) SI HON and SI NA (Katy Kung).. who do not understand fine foods. How can fine foods be drawn into each member of the Chung family and open the window?
