I seriously love this chic hairclips holder from Chloe In Style.  It is a great way to keep track of hairclips especially when you have more than 50 of them.    This Hair Clip Holder is hand crafted and features an “S-hook” at the end of the ribbon for hanging ponytail bands.

  2. Ballet Flats Are Wardrobe Staples In Every Closet

    September 2, 2010 by barbara

I was relaxing on the log furniture after dinner at my friend’s house a few days ago when she brought out her new pair of ballet flats to show me.  I was over the moon to see her shoes.  In case you don’t know, I am into ballet flats now.  They are just the prettiest shoes on earth.  Ultra feminine and oh so stylish, the ballet flats are very popular for those who want to dress up without adding height or putting a strain on your feet.  My friend bought hers from Pretty Ballerinas.  Below are a few of my favorite ballet flats.   The one in red may soon be mine.

  4. Egg Boilers To Make Your Life Easier

    September 1, 2010 by barbara

Like the modern furniture that are designed to make your life easier, The Eiko egg broiler holds the egg in place to enable the user to retrieve the egg easily when it is done cooking.  The egg hangs down from the edge of the pot into the boiling water while the handle of the spoon stays cool.  When the egg is boiled, just remove the spoon and rinse the egg with cool water.  The Eiko egg broiler functions as an egg cup as well.

  5. Eco-Friendly School Supplies

    August 31, 2010 by barbara

Soy is nutritious and contains lots of goodness.  Soy products are potent sources of antioxidants.  I love everything about soy.  So when a friend told me that she found some crayons made from soy, I quickly shift my attention from the Forex trading software which I am trying to study to StubbyPencilsStudio.com which carries a range of eco-friendly products for children.  Non-toxic Prang Fun Pro Soy bean crayons are made from a unique soybean oil formulation and do not contain paraffin wax.  They also do not contain any lead.   I want to get them for my 5-year old.

It is not easy to find a nice tote for the man.  He does not want something that is too girly-looking but big enough to carry all his necessities.  While browsing the internet, I came across this Tote Bag for Men from TempleBags.com.  It is made out of re-purposed WWII military issue parachutes.  Cool eh?  What’s great about this nylon bag is it is lightweight and can be folded into a 4″ x 4″ pocket-size when not in use.   Let me check with my man and see if he likes it or not.

  7. Stay Puft Caffeinated Marshmallows

    August 31, 2010 by barbara

A friend of my husband dropped by our house a few nights ago to discuss about purchase order financing for his business.  While talking about business, they had some beers and snacks.  Guess what my husband’s friend brought along?  A box of Stay Puft Caffeinated Marshmallows.  We have never had them before.  They are delicious and are licensed Ghostbusters product.  The box which they came in is really cute and it is rubbery like marshmallows.   Well, if you want to get yours hands on some collectibles, check out ThinkGeek.com for more.

  8. I Judge You When You Use Poor Grammar

    August 31, 2010 by barbara

    book

I have a friend who is very particular about having good grammar.  He speaks English as soon as he knows how to talk and have been staying overseas for the last 20 years.  It gets on his nerve whenever he finds grammatical errors on documents or other reading material.  Just as how important an exit alarm is to a building, having good grammar is essential if we want to master the art of conversation.  I can’t help laughing when I saw this book – I Judge You When You Use Poor Grammar at ModCloth.com.  It features a collection of disconcerting bloopers, linquistic slip-ups and errors.  A great book for those who would like some humour.  Hmm…I think this book would make a good gift for my friend.
