  1. Best Place To Buy Paper Bags

    June 27, 2011 by barbara

If you don’t know already, I am into crafts right now.  More like paper craft.  My all-time favourite is to wrapping presents with brown paper or kraft paper.   There are so much we can do with kraft paper wrappers.  They look great with flower toppers, twines, paper flowers and many more. Just last Christmas, I made paper bags made from kraft papers for my friends’ presents instead of wrapping them with the usual wrapping papers.  I decorated the bags with cut-out initials of my friends’ names from pages of magazines. Then I sealed the bags with  a ‘ribbon on top.  My friends loved the packaging idea.  Are you into paper crafts too?  Well, if you are then you may want to check out PaperMart.com.  This craft supplies store has been in business for over 90 years.   They are the largest discount packaging company in the United States.  Paper Mart has a huge selection of over 10 million boxes and 100 million bags.  At their website, you can find plastic, tubes, cans, jars, metal containers, restaurant supplies, all kinds of paper and many more.  They have a group of highly trained and experienced employees to provide the best service.  So, whether you are looking for paper bags, favor boxes or organza bags for your gift-wrapping or wedding, Paper Mart has them all.

  2. Pretty Girl’s Dresses

    June 25, 2011 by barbara

One thing that I cannot resist is shopping for my daughter.  There are just too many pretty things out there.    My 6-year old is still at the Princess stage.  She loves all things pretty especially accessories like bracelets, necklaces, hair clips, hair bands and more.  She also love wearing dresses.  My daughter prefers them to denims.  Of course I still buy her denims, leggings and shorts as I would like her to wear different types of clothing.  While blog-hopping, I saw some really nice dresses at Mini Boden.  Should I get them?

  4. Backpack Umbrella

    June 19, 2011 by barbara

This Backpack umbrella is worn on the back and provides rain and sun protection while keeping the hands free.  It is great when you need to lug the grocery bags, a dog’s leash or child’s hand.  The umbrella fits into a pack which is strapped at the back.  It only takes a few seconds to unzip the pack, remove the umbrella and attach it to the pack’s built-in and adjustable support rod.  The umbrella covers a 39 1/4″ diameter.  It collapses easily against its pole.  No doubt looks funny but it is practical.  Available at Hammacher Schlemmer.

I was surfing the net just now and came across this Dragon’s Blood Elixir Hot Sauce that will certainly set the mouth on fire.  Since the spouse in into bbq these days, this sauce is just perfect. Love the name of this sauce.  May be too late for Father’s Day gift but I am sure the spouse won’t mind.

  7. Chocolate Dipped Rice Krispies Squares

    June 17, 2011 by barbara

Chocolate-dipped food seems to be the rage right now.  You can find chocolate-dipped marshmallow, cookies and cakes on sticks these days.  They are really nice party food I must say.  I was at the night market last night and came upon a stall selling chocolate-dipped bananas on sticks.  I did not get any though and they sure look funny.   I just came across this Jumbo Chocolate-Dipped Rice Krispies Squares from Etsy.com. It is 4 inches and dipped in creamy white or milk chocolate.  Then it is rolled in toppings like M&Ms, Reese pieces, oreos, etc.  Something different eh?  Perhaps I should try making this for my kid’s birthday party.

This is so cute.  I just love this Pastasaurus Pasta Server from Perpetual Kid.   This prehistoric pasta server features an ergonomically designed handle and pasta-snaring teeth.   It is just perfect for serving your little guests.  I like its bright green colour.  I think I should get one too since I love cooking pasta. This lean, mean spaghetti serving machine makes a great gift too.

Before I look up the Marcus scrubs for a friend, I was scouring the internet, looking for a pair of nice sandals for my coming holiday.  We will be heading out to the beach again.  I have not stepped foot in this island for over 20 years hence, I am very looking forward to this trip.  I saw this pair of nice Salt-Water Sandals from DNA Footwear just now and I think it is just perfect for the beach vacation.
