  1. Zurich Design and Art Community

    May 28, 2011 by barbara

One of the continents that I wish to visit before I leave this world is Europe.  This continent is not only rich in historical significance but it also contains a rich architectural dynasty that is centuries old.   I enjoy visiting the exquisite museums, art galleries, magnificent monuments and etc. The first city that I would love to visit is Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland.  It is one of the world’s most picturesque destination.  The art scene in Zurich is also well developed and there is a large collection of fine art at the Zurich design‘ museum.

While I was searching for more information on Zurich, I chanced upon  Cool Capitals is a go-to travel guide which offers an insider’s look at what is worth doing, exploring and seeing in five cool capitals in Europe.  What are the five cool capitals? They are Amsterdam, Zurich, Vienna, Antwerp and Valencia.   Whether you are looking for shopping in Amsterdam, fashion in Antwerp, Valencia Art or Vienna Design Museum, you can find just about anything at Cool Capitals.

If you love art, food, architecture, nightlife and fashion from these marvelous capitals in Europe, do check out Cool Capitals. This site also offers city guides and recommended hotels.

  2. DIY Gift Wrapping

    May 27, 2011 by barbara

I have been visiting many craft blogs lately and feeling very inspired.  Perhaps I should start a Craft blog and post about the lovely projects which I have seen.  That way, I can always go back to read them and try to do some of the crafts eh?  What I love most are the creative paper packaging for gifts.  There is nothing better than a simple brown kraft paper as gift wrapper.  There is so much you can do to decorate the gift.

newspapers or map make a good wrapper too.

  3. Getting Rid Of Lower Tummy Bulge

    May 23, 2011 by barbara

Besides wanting to get my hands on some hgh releasers badly, another thing that is on top of my list is this Lower Stomach Beauty Trainer from Japan Trend Shop.  I want to get rid of my lower tummy bulge as soon as possible.  Actually I want to get rid of the whole tummy bulge and not just the lower part.  This slimming exercise cushion is effective and all you need to do is to slide your feet and legs into the holes and twist your body from side to side.  Easy?   I think I can spend 30 minutes doing this while watching the tv.  This cushion is great for slimming the waist and stomach.  Plus you do not need a lot of space to store it.  Can’t wait to see my toes when I’m standing up.

    May 19, 2011 by barbara

While the spouse was busy helping a friend to look for a barcode scanner for his new retail store, I was at my netbook surfing the internet for ideas on how to decorate my daughter’s room.  I came upon this really cute Ice Cream Cone wall decal from Wall Candy Arts.   This chalkboard decal is spacious and just apt for a little girl’s room.  The sprinkles and stars can be arranged in anyway you like. I think my daughter is going to love this sweet ice cream chalk board.  Don’t you think it look nice?

All the paper used for this handmade pen was taken from the offices and each sheet of paper is different.  This means that no two pens are alike.   You can get this pen from

I am in L-O-V-E with Emmerson Made.  Their clothes are so beautiful.  I also fell in love with their jeans and accessories.  They make me want to wear handmade big flower brooches all the time.  This gorgeous fashion line from New Hampshire is making waves everywhere.  Oh I better stop drooling over Emmerson Made and start looking up the bsn online for a friend.  Before I go, here’s what I absolutely adore.  What are your favourites at Emmerson Made?

  8. Alessi Apostrophe Orange Peeler

    May 13, 2011 by barbara

I came across this nifty orange peeler – Alessi Apostrophe from yesterday.  What is does is that it cuts through the peel and leave decorative marks on the orange.  The Alessi Apostrophe also features an ergonomic design which allows the hand to hold easily.  It is made from precision-cast steel with mat finish for easier grip.   Unless I work in a restaurant or I am someone who love throwing fancy parties and use oranges as decoration, I do not think I would get this cool orange peeler.  Would you?

  9. Getting Rid of Messy Cables

    May 8, 2011 by barbara

While the man was busy scouring the internet for refurbished laptops, I am pulling my hair out seeing all the cables on the work table and the mess they are creating.  Not only do they look so untidy, I am also having a problem cleaning the table with all the cables around.  I just stumbled upon this cute Cable Monkey at and I believe this is just what I need right now.  This cute monkey is available in grey, black and brown and can hold a lot of cables together with its long arms.  No more messy tangled cables anymore when you have Cable Monkey.

    May 6, 2011 by barbara

My daughter is celebrating her birthday this month and I am in the midst of preparing her party packs.   I really enjoy doing this because I am trying to make some cute party packs for her.  Yeah, I like DIY stuff.  You can imagine my delight when I stumbled upon some really cute paper bags at Shop Sweet Lulu.  They are just perfect for those who like to DIY the packs like me.  My favourite are the cute Dottie bags and sweet Gingham ones.  They also have loads of pretty party decors like balloons, tissue pouf, party flags and more.
