This is a new travelogue starring Carol Cheng (Do Do) which features her shopping in the famous cities around the world. During her travels, Carol is accompanied by other TVB stars such as Oscar Leung, Kenneth Ma and Sammy Sum. I enjoy watching this show because it is quite funny and interesting. The first few episodes, Dodo went shopping in Paris and followed by Melbourne and London. It is enjoyable to watch where Dodo buys her clothes from in London, ballet flats in Paris and the types of shops to keep a look out for if ever we are visiting the same cities and etc. Her shopping partners add a lot of fun to the show. Hurry and check out DoDo Goes Shopping if you have not.

Parties are a plenty this coming holiday season. Dressing up for the holidays is part and parcel of the joy of this season. I know that to many people, figuring out what to wear on an average day is hard enough. So when you received an invitation to the parties this year end, you go to figure out what exactly does it it say on the invite. Black-tie? Casual chic? Semi-Formal? Is it going to be held at a fancy restaurant or the hotel ballroom? Most often guests are left wondering what styles fit well and fit within a certain dress code. Formal dresses or evening wear must be chosen with care and with consideration given to the event’s dress code.
When you receive an invitation to a Black Tie Affair, then you know it is time to pull out all the stops for your outfit on that evening. Evening dresses are meant to be worn for formal events and it is best to go with a floor-length dress in gorgeous satin, taffeta or beaded. Accessorize with a dramatic necklace or dangling earrings but remember, don’t wear both. If you are not sure, it is best to wear diamond drop earrings or a pearl necklace. Do not forget to get yourself a nice clutch too. Cheap evening dresses from ihomecoming allows you to make an entrance that will definitely catch the eye of everyone in the room.
If the invite states cocktail, this means an elegant party dress with killer heels. You may want to turn to lace or chiffon fabric with two inches above the knee hemline. As for Festive dress code, this means bold colours, jewelry and sparkly details. You can spot this dress code on invitations for holiday parties and hence, it is safe to go deck out in a vibrant dress, statement necklaces, red heels or glittery clutch.
The size and fit are important and must be chosen carefully. An ill-fitting dress may result in discomfort and dishevelled appearance. Colour is also important as inappropriate choice may clash with the person’s complexion. Many have a tight budget but not everyone is able to choose the best apparel despite spending a substantial amount of time and money on it. Therefore it is advisable to spend some time to learn more about evening party dresses.
So if you are going to attend a party of family gathering this coming December, you may want to consider Ihomecoming affordable evening dresses for the special occasion. You can get all the perks of shopping minus the hassle. Don’t forget to get the right makeup and hairstyle and together with the stunning evening dresses, you would look absolutely ravishing and trendy.

Did anyone watch the Grammy Awards a few days ago? If yes, then which one was your favourite performance? Did you favourite singer win the Grammy? I love the performance by Pharrell, Stevie Wonder and Daft Punk in their rendition of Get Lucky. This retro dance-flavored music is very catchy and I really enjoyed it. The jamming session with the music legends, the retro recording booth complete with neon lights and possibly behringer amps as well as electronic sounds from the white robots really brought the house down.

While the spouse is busy checking out the Shoei Qwest helmets for his new ride, I am looking for a new mobile phone. I am still contemplating if I should get the iPhone or an Android phone. Anyway, what’s important is that I get to use Instagram and also play music on my mobile phone. I want to listen to music when I’m running. You can imagine my delight when I saw this cute Mini Boombox MP3 Speakers at Fred Flare. It sure brings back memories of the 80’s. This mini boombox is actually an iPhones and iPods dock. When attached to your device, it allows you to share your music with everyone. The Mini Boombox MP3 Speaker’s measurement is 2.5″x1. 25″x0. 5. How cool eh? Looks like I may have to get an iPhone if I want this Mini Boombox MP3 Speaker.

This 80-episode drama stars some of my favourite actors and actresses such as Ngok Wah, Kristal Tin and Queenie Chu. This drama is about a traditional Chinese household and the love for fine food. Have you watched this drama?

I cannot wait to watch No Regrets (Rosy Business Part 2). I have been waiting for this series to be released for so long. All my favourite casts from Rosy Business are back in this 32-episode drama. No Regrets is replacing The Comeback Clan. Is this the final drama for TVB for the year 2010? I wonder if Wayne Lai will be taking the Drama King title like last year. Ok, first, I would go wash my face, put on some anti wrinkle lotion, get ready some snacks and then make myself a cuppa. No Regrets, here I come.
Guangzhou is in a state of political turmoil in the 1930s. Gangsters are on a rampage and opium trading becomes rampant. As they watch the illicit profits from opium trading escalate, the government forms the Anti-Smoking Bureau under the guise of suppressing opium, but the bureau is under the influence of CHENG LONG-KWAN (Yueh Hua), the gang’s kingpin. His eldest daughter CHENG KAU-MUI (Sheren Tang Shui Man) who is an unscrupulous person soon returns from Shanghai to reap the rewards. MUI meticulously plans her every move.
On the other hand, LAU SING (Wayne Lai Yiu Cheung) is the leader of the Criminal Investigation Team. He has worked hard all his life to ensure an easy trail for his family, especially for his bed-ridden younger sister LAU CHING (Fala Chen). Despite his hot temper, he values friendship and brotherhood more than anything else. Once, he almost sacrificed his life to help his timid teammate, TONG KAT (Pierre Ngo).
It is fated that MUI and SING should meet each other and survive many calamities. It is also fated that both are fierce contenders who will never give in, although mutual understanding and affection slowly grows between them.
Meanwhile, the Japanese army invades China and Guangzhou falls into the hands of the Japanese. MUI enters the darkest time in her life when her aunt CHENG LONG-HEI (Susan Tse) frames her.
Will SING always be by her side?

Growing Through Life is the TVB Drama that I am watching currently. This modern series drama replaces A Pillow Case of Mysteries II. Do you know why I enjoy watching it? Well, it has been a while since I’ve watched a drama starring Cecilia Yip. She is one of my favourite actresses and a very talented one. This 30-episode drama was filmed in Shanghai and Hong Kong. This drama also features actors and actresses from China. I haven’t heard of them before though but I really like Damian Lau, Bosco Wong and Raymond Lau. I have watched 10 episodes so far. Below is the synopsis.
Hoi Sing and his mother, Ho Wai Sum run a home appliance manufacturing factory. Hoi Sing’s uncle, Hoi Leung wants to acquire their business at all costs. Leung is money minded snob who doesn’t place much interest in family ties. Leung’s wife, Cheng Ming Chu and daughter, Hoi Mei Sze try hard to help Leung mend ties with Sing and eventually succeed when they manage to convince Leung to put the acquisition of the business on hold.
Leung wishes to own the land of which the factory sits on and plants a spy, Fong Lai King in Sing’s factory. To help her son and convince Leung to give up on acquiring their business, Wai Sum reveals to Leung a long-kept secret. To strengthen their business, Sing invites his friend, Chung Lam Tai to work with him.
Unfortunately for Sing, Lam Tai betrays him and sided with Leung. To add salt to the wound, Sing’s fiencee, Chuk Yiu Kwan calles off their wedding. These unfortunate events indirectly forced Sing to be even more determined; forcing him to use bolder strategies and tactics against his family member.

My cousin called me up last night to inform me that her daughter is looking for a good medical assisting school because she is interested in pursuing education in the field of allied health. Then our conversation went to the latest TVB drama which she is watching now. My cousin said she is now watching Beauty Knows No Pain. I am very looking forward to watching this 20-episode TVB drama. Beauty Knows No Pain replaces When Lane Merge. It stars some of my favourite actresses such as Michelle Yim, Maggie Cheung and Joyce Tang Lai Ming. Oh, the actors are Joe Ma Tak Chung and Dominic Lam Ka Wah. It was during the filming of Beauty Knows No Pain that Michelle’s boyfriend, Wan Chi Keung passed away from cancer. Tragic.
WONG HOI KING (Michelle Yim) is successful in both career and love life. However, she accidentally discovers that her husband CHIN KWONG LUNG (Dominic Lam) is committing adultery. In order to maintain the relationship, KING is willing to take the risk of getting pregnant despite her high age. Pregnancy has imposed great pressure on her daily life as well as her career. Her aggressive subordinate SA YUEN KEI (Maggie Cheung) therefore seizes the chance to take up her duties. KEI is a bold and decisive person at work but she is caught in a quadrangular relationship by falling in love with the married man KO CHI LIK (Joe Ma).
Discouraged by the relationship failures of her bosses, secretary YU MAN YAU (Joyce Tang) further loses her confidence. YAU always has a sense of inferiority because of her “outstanding” body shape. Encouraged by her colleague CHI NAM (Power Chan), YAU decides to boost her self-esteem by getting plastic surgery. She immediately becomes the sexiest goddess on the Internet and the hottest brand spokesperson in town. After getting famous and rich, YAU suddenly realizes that this is not what she really wants…
