Fortune Cookie Soaps

I was helping a friend to look for moving pods service and came across these cute fun soaps that are shaped like fortune cookies.  These lovely soaps are packaged in an authentic Chinese take-out-style container and there are six sweetly scented soaps in a container.  Handmade with 100% vegetable oil, they are free from harmful chemicals.  The Fortune Cookie soaps are great for wedding favors. Although they do look like the real thing but do not attempt to eat them 😀 If you want to have some fun, check out Pajamagram.com.

Ruffles Shower Curtain

I spotted this lovely Ruffles Shower Curtain at Target a while ago and I am quite smitten by it.  It is very unique and beautiful.  The top is bordered with multiple rows of ruffles and the curtain is 100% polyster.  Looks like something you would find at those boutique hotels, eh?  Great for those who would like to add a shabby chic touch or delicate touch to their vintage bathroom.   I am going to place my order soon.  If you like it too, swing by Target.

Watch The Winter Melon Tale Online

The Winter Melon Tale is a new costume drama by TVB.  I am also watching this now.  It stars some of my favourite actors/actresses like Louisa So and Liu Kai Chi.  Other actors/actresses are Ellesmere Choi, Sunny Chan and many more.  I find this show quite entertaining.

Sweater Dress From Banana Republic

One of my favourite stores is Banana Republic.  I was just browsing their website earlier and couldn’t take my eyes off this Shiny Pleated Sweater Dress from their Spring collection.  I love the shade of this dress (Moroccan Camel) and also the vertical stripes on it.  This viscose sweater dress has a slimming effect and is great for both work and a night out.  Guess I won’t need to take the best weight loss pills in town in order to look slim in this lovely number.

A Rocking Horse Is Better Than A Pet

My 4-year old has been talking to me about getting a puppy for our home.  Yeah, she wants to have a pet ever since she saw my cousin’s little poodle during the recent Chinese New Year gathering.  I definitely do not think it is a good idea to get a puppy now as she still does not know how to take care of the animal.  It is not easy having a pet and it requires a lot of responsibility.  Guess she would have to wait till she is a little older.  In the meantime, I think this beautiful plush rocking horse could change her mind regarding a pet now.  It is a Rock and Trot Rocking Horse from Melissa & Doug and is finished in premium plush fabric.  It has a safe, sturdy hardwood base and a comfortably soft saddle.  This pony holds up to 150 pounds and is almost as good as a real horse.  However, you do not need to get any horse supplies for it so it is much easier to take care than a dog 🙂  I am sure my toddler will be thrilled to have this Rocking Horse.

Planning To Go Anywhere During The School Holidays?

The first quarter of the year is almost ending already.  In just one more week, school holidays will begin.  The children will get one week off this time.  Since we have not been on a holiday ever since I had my toddler (she’ll be turning 4 in a few months’ time),  I think this school holiday period would be a good opportunity for us to take a break.  My hubs prefer somewhere by the sea whereas I prefer a place with lots of attractions and shopping such as Pigeon Forge. I just discovered that there are many nice Pigeon Forge Tennessee hotels at reasonable rates.  I am going to tell hubs to check out the hotels online.  Hopefully he agrees to go on a fun-filled holiday in Pigeon Forge.  We could always go to the beach later 🙂

Sushi Clock

Are you a sushi lover?  If yes, then I am sure you are going to love this sushi clock from MrsLinKitchen.com. It is a popular clock in many Japanese restaurants throughout Japan.  Not only do they tell the time, they also represent the scrumptious fare diners will find on the menu inside the restaurant.  Each hour is represented by a different sushi item.  You will see Unagi (fresh water eel), Awabi (abalone), Ebi (shrimp), Tako (octopus), Saba (mackerel), Ikura (salmon roe), Anago (conger eel), Tamago (egg), Akagai (ark shell), Ika (squid), Maguro (tuna), and Kappa Maki & Tekka Maki (cucumber & tuna roll).  The sushi clock is the actual size of a lacquer sushi tray.

Stylish Name Card Holders

A friend of mine is planning to throw a housewarming party at her new house.  I have been to her house recently and it is very tastefully decorated.  She did not acquire the services of an interior decorator.  In fact, she went around the town, hopping from one store to another to check out everything for her house.  I have been looking around for a housewarming gift and saw these stylish name card holders from BellissimoFavors.com.  These place card holders features a tiny replica resin purse base with a gold wire extending from its top leading to a coiled place card holder.  They are just perfect for my friend as she is a bag lover.  Also, she loves to entertain so I am sure she will be having many guests to her home in the future.  These super chic place card holders will certainly make great conversation piece.

They come in multiple colors and detailed styles including apple green, fuchsia, melon with green accent and turquoise.  My friend is a great cook and I am so looking forward to her housewarming party 🙂 In the meantime, I better get some weight loss pills too as I know I will be eating non-stop at the party.

Paper Bag Vase

No I am not storing my flowers in paper bags. In fact, they are ceramic vases.  Sure fooled me when I first saw it.  These funky and fun vases from Uncommon Goods are designed to look like real paper bags but they are actually ceramic.  They are handmade and are perfect for storing fresh cut flowers.  It is definitely going to be a great conversation starter.  By the way, these unique paper bag vase were featured in O, The Oprah Magazine.
