  1. Getting Organized With Accessories Organizer

    July 29, 2012 by barbara

While I was out looking for custom car seat covers for my dad’s car,  I stumbled upon a very nice jewellery organizer at Diva.  If you do not know already, Diva is my favourite shop to go to for accessories.  This Australian brand has a huge range of affordable and cool accessories for women.    I have been on a lookout for an organizer to keep all my accessories.  They are all in a box right now and it is pretty difficult for me to choose what I want to wear.  So, having an organizer is just great.  I cannot seem to find the organizer on Diva’s website.  Here is a similar one which I saw at Amazon.  I cannot wait to sort out my accessories.

  4. Espadrilles For Summer

    July 14, 2012 by barbara

I was helping a friend to sort out some wholesale clothes which she intends to sell at flea market on Sunday when she showed me her new pair of espadrilles.   She bought it from Gap.    It is a cute black and white striped canvas, and it looks very comfortable.  I used to wear espadrilles when I was a teenager.  It was a trend back in the 80′s.   Perhaps I should get myself a pair now.

  5. J Lo Perfume

    July 13, 2012 by barbara

I am a fan of Jennifer Lopez or J Lo as she is better known.  I started listening to her songs after I saw her on tv belting out ‘Love Don’t Cost A Thing’.  Jennifer Lopez was born in 1969 in The Bronx, New York.  She started her career as a Fly Girl in In Living Colour and then as a back up dancer for Janet Jackson.  Besides a chart-smashing career, she has become the highest paid Latin American actress.  J Lo has appeared in various movies such as Selena, Monster-in-law, Maid in Manhattan and the recent What To Expect When You Are Expecting.   She has sold more than 70 million records throughout the world and is one of the best-selling music artists of all times.  J Lo also has a fashion line called J Lo By Jennifer Lopez which includes clothing, swimwear and accessories.  I still remember the famous green Versace dress with a plunging neckline which she wore to the Grammy Awards in 2000.

J Lo began her perfume venture in 2002 and ever since then she has been releasing a fragrant or two every year.  Her first fragrance was Glow, followed by Still.  In 2005, Miami Glow and Love at First Glow were released.  Then in 2008, the Deseo line was launched.  Sunkissed Glow and My Glow was launched in 2009.  I have seen them at the perfume shop and so far I have tried JLo Perfume Glow and  Love at First Glow.  I really like the scent. In 2010, Love and Glamour and Blue Glow were released, followed by L.A. Glow and Love and Light in 2011.    Recently, I have been seeing the latest release in the media – Glowing.  I would love to get my hands on Glowing.

In her forties now, J Lo is in her element.  She is currently touring North and South America.    She is also a judge and mentor on the hit TV programme American Idol.

  6. Want A Facebook Ice-cream?

    July 10, 2012 by barbara

Everyone is into Facebook right now. A clever designer just invented the Facebook Ice-cream dubbed “The Face cream”. The Croatian designer just turned the iconic logo into a lip-smacking treat.

It certainly looks delicious. Want to take a bite out of Facebook? Unfortunately, this is only a concept. I cannot wait for this to be real as I want to know how it taste like.  I hope the ice-cream companies are taking note of this.

  7. Mini Boombox MP3 Speakers

    July 10, 2012 by barbara

While the spouse is busy checking out the Shoei Qwest helmets for his new ride,  I am looking for a new mobile phone.  I am still contemplating if I should get the iPhone or an Android phone.  Anyway, what’s important is that I get to use Instagram and also play music on my mobile phone.  I want to listen to music when I’m running.  You can imagine my delight when I saw this cute Mini Boombox MP3 Speakers at Fred Flare.  It sure brings back memories of the 80′s.   This mini boombox is actually an iPhones and iPods dock.  When attached to your device, it allows you to share your music with everyone.  The Mini Boombox MP3 Speaker’s measurement is 2.5″x1. 25″x0. 5.   How cool eh?  Looks like I may have to get an iPhone if I want this Mini Boombox MP3 Speaker.

  8. Cotton Candy Tin Holders

    July 9, 2012 by barbara

I am loving these cute Cotton Candy Design Tin Holders from Pearl Rivers.  These brightly coloured tins have a vintage touch to it.   When I was little, I wish to have one of these to keep my coins, hair clips or some treasured knick-knacks.   You can also get them to store tea, coffee or sugar.  Perhaps you may want to get a few of these tin holders to decorate your kitchen too.  How endearing, right?

  10. Star Wars Cupcakes

    July 7, 2012 by barbara

While the spouse was shopping for eye bolts last weekend, I walked around the cafes and saw some of the cutest cupcakes.  They were in chocolate and vanilla flavours but what was unique about them is that the Star Wars characters were stenciled onto the cupcakes.  Star Wars fans are going to love them.  I was wondering how they managed to do it until I saw these Star Wars Cupcake Stencil Set from Williams-Sonoma.  Arent’ they adorable?  Well you can even use them on your pancakes.
