Halloween is less than 2 weeks away. My daughter has been asking that I buy her a Halloween plastic bucket for trick-o-treating. As there will be no trick-o-treating over here, I think it is not a good idea to buy it. Therefore I have decided to make one for her. I logged on to Pinterest last night to find some ideas and chanced upon a few really nice and easy Halloween crafts for children.

I am going to try to do a couple of crafts with my daughter soon. Hopefully she would forget about asking me to buy/make her a plastic pumpkin basket.

I am so into banners or buntings right now. They are so beautiful and add a nice touch to a room. When I saw these banners and hanging decor for the children’s room at Land of Nod, I was ecstatic. Oh be still my beating heart . I just adore these cute decors. They are also great for parties if you do not want to hang them in the bedroom. I am trying to choose one for my daughter’s room.

My sister was just telling me that her home is filled with more things now because my nephew has taken up guitar lessons. Besides a guitar, there are a few guitar straps and various guitar picks at music 123 which seem to be all over the house. So in order to get things organized, she is getting a few of the Bungalow Junque Trunk Blue Stripe bins from See Jane Works. These collapsible storage bins are just perfect for a boy’s room. They are sturdy and easy to wipe clean.

After I have checked out some campania planters, I went window-shopping online at my favourite clothing retail store – J Crew. I just love their latest collection, especially their pants. I heart this Toothpick Ankle Velvet Jean which look fabulous with the Comme de Garcon striped sweater. There are so many great styles to love there. Wish I can have them all. Some of my favourites include the capri and the peter pan collar sweater.

While the spouse was busy checking out the Delafield petroleum drop hose specification, I was doing some online shopping for my craft. I stumbled upon this http://www.mmiinn.com, an online store which offers a wide range of printed adhesive tapes which gives the illusion that your boxes are sealed with leather straps, bolts and hinges. I find this pretty neat and I think I am going to get some. You all know how much I love tapes eh?

Cotton On is having a big sale right now. I was checking out their website last night and I was so busy adding things into my cart. They are also offering free shipping now so it is really a good deal. Besides clothing and shoes for myself, I also bought some children’s clothing and knick-knacks from Typo. Here are some of my shopping loot :-

Believe it or not, the fall season is already upon us, and that means it might not be too early to start planning your holiday season. Of course, every year you hear that it’s time to start planning Christmas, and it seems as if it’s far too early to do so. But, if you’re like most people, every year you then proceed to wait too long to start planning Christmas! It’s strange, but because things are always busy during the holidays, you really can benefit from getting as much shopping as possible done as early as you can. On the plus side, starting early can also result in your finding better gifts for people, as you will have more time to consider what to buy.
As you start to consider your Christmas shopping list, chances are you will come around to that one person, or group of people on your list for whom shopping is always difficult. Maybe this person seems to have everything, or maybe he or she is simply difficult to shop for. Whatever the case, if you give it some thought early on, you can likely come up with the perfect gift. Here are a few general concepts to consider in these situations.
- Food & Drink – One good tip to remember when you’re shopping for that difficult someone is that even if someone seems to have all kinds of material goods, he or she can always use consumable products! Do some shopping at M&S for a few nice bottles of wine, or even a nice Christmas hamper full of treats, and you may find something that can be enjoyed by anyone – even someone who has it all.
- Event Tickets – Similarly, tickets can be another great idea if you can’t think of any sort of physical gift that someone might need or want. If there is a great concert, sporting event, or show happening during the holiday season, purchasing tickets as a gift can always be a wonderful idea, and generally makes for an unexpected gift.
- A thoughtful gift such as a Foot Rest is great for those who spend a lot of time sitting at the desk. It is also great for use at home.
- Photograph Projects – Finally, if you can’t think of a great gift and you want to keep things simple, you can always consider something more personal. Compiling a meaningful photo album, or putting a single nice photograph in an attractive frame, can be the perfect gift for someone it’s tough to shop for.
Ultimately, these are just a few of the many ideas you may end up thinking through as you begin to plan your Christmas shopping. However, any of these suggestions can work for people it’s particularly tough to find material gifts for. Additionally, finding gifts for these people on your list early on will truly make any leftover holiday shopping you have far simpler and quicker. Then, you’re free to enjoy the holiday season!

I always carry a packet of handy wipes with me when I am out and about. They are one of the things that I never leave home without. Having them with me have saved me a number of times. The wipes are so useful especially for cleaning up quick spills and dirty hands before meal time. I just came across some really cute ones at FredFlare.com. These 10 mini wet wipes come in adorable polka dot packaging in cool mint scented Ice Cream style or Strawberry Cupcake.

We have been invited to our friend’s 14 year-old son’s birthday party at the end of this month. For the past one week or so, I have been looking around for a birthday gift. As her son is a music lover and has been taking guitar lessons since he was 7, I am thinking of getting him this cute Stormtrooper Fold-up Headphones from Perpetual Kid. This black and white headphones feature a stormtrooper helmet on the side of each headphone along with the Empire crest on the soft pliable headband. My friend told me that she has been looking around at some classic guitars for her son. He sure is one lucky boy.
