Melania Trump is no doubt one of the most fashionable First Ladies the United States has ever seen. A couple of days ago, the FLOTUS wore a jacket when she made a surprise visit to the U.S. Mexico border after President Trump’s decision to sign an executive order that would stop migrant children from being separated from their families while at the border. Melania was pictured wearing the $39 Zara jacket when she boarded Air Force One, and it instantly triggered a media frenzy.
She was praised by some for caring about the welfare of the minors while many others were furious over her choice to wear an olive green jacket which has the words : “I really don’t care. Do u?” in bold white graffiti-style writing.
There are those who believe that her decision to wear a jacket with such a bold message, especially since it was a hot day, was not a mistake. It was done intentionally to send a message. What do you think?
I am guessing this jacket from Zara is already sold out.
Janet Jackson was at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday to receive the prestigious Icon Award. This is Ms. Jackson’s first performance after she became a mother. Bruno Mars took the stage to introduce her and he mentioned that Janet is the first black woman to ever receive the Billboard Icon Award. Janet hit the stage in a striking and sparkling gold sweatshirt dress and she paired it with shiny gold thigh-high shoes when she sand her 1986 hit, Nasty.
Here is Janet on the red carpet. I love this combo. A simple white tee, long tulle skirt and accessorized with gold earrings and necklace. Less is more!
Hot on the heels of the Golden Globe and The Grammys was The Oscar. The 90th Annual Academy Awards red carpet was just as epic as the ceremony itself. The celebrities were strutting down the red carpet in gold laced braids, new lip colors, beautiful tresses and headdresses. New trends were spotted and some of them have updated their looks with blond weave too.
There were many wearing the finest Oscar fashion and show-stopping looks. From Taraji’s thigh-split gown to Eiza Gonzalez’s yellow dress, everyone was dressed to impressed. A few actresses paid homage to important people and events in their lives. Tiffany Haddish wore an intricate gown to pay tribute to her grandfather and her Eritrean roots.
The 2018 award season is a season for beauty so to speak. Stars are taking more risks and having more fun with their hair and makeup. There were lots of subdued makeup, champagne-tinged lids, soft pink lips and etc. Salma Hayek and Gal Gadot have vampy lip colors, Lupita Nyong and Jennifer Lawrence were some of the few with fierce wings. There were many with amazing and creative hairstyles that one may think that perhaps these stars have gotten some cheap blond wigs.
While not everyone will have the honor of taking home the Oscar, Hollywood’s most glamorous evening of the year definitely is an unforgettable evening. I was so happy to catch the ceremony after I have read the maxglam hair review. So who is your favorite actors and actresses? Did they win?

The singer wore a black laced Armani Prive ballgown and had her hair in a corseted braid design.
The music’s biggest night, The 2018 Grammy Awards was held on Sunday at the New York City’s Madison Square Garden. It was hosted by James Corden. Bruno Mars took home the Record of the Year and the Album of the year award. Here are some of the Red Carpet fashion.

The ever-stylish Ms. Lopez was spotted donning this denim trouser recently. It is so big that it looks like a maxi skirt. Talk about voluminous. The entertainer paired the trouser with a classic striped sweater, hermes tote and hoop earrings. What do you think of this statement style? Would you invest in a pair?
I am sure everyone has read or watched Oprah Winfrey’s stirring acceptance speech at the Golden Globe 2018 Award. Her memorable and poignant speech got everyone on their feet. The powerful former US talk show host, philanthropist used her Cecil B DeMille Award acceptance speech to express gratitude to all women who have endured years of abuse and assault.
“What I know for sure is that speaking your truth is the most powerful tool we all have”. I love this!
Here are the latest Red Carpet looks from the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards.
