  2. Wrapping Paper Ornaments

    December 5, 2011 by barbara

If you are looking for something colourful to decorate your home for Christmas, then you may like these Wrapping Paper Ornaments from The Land of Nod.  They come in a set of 6 and are just perfect for the Christmas tree.  These ornaments are made of paper mache and are hand-painted.  Actually I think once Christmas is over, you can use these ornaments for birthday parties because they are not in the traditional Christmas colours.

  3. Bags I Love

    November 30, 2011 by barbara

I am in the midst of looking for a nice handbag right now.  I want one that is not too casual and yet big enough for me to put all my things in there.  I love big handbags because I carry a lot of things with me.  Lipsticks, eye drop, wet wipes, medication, raincoat for my daughter, purse, keys, handphones, etc.  Yeah, basically everything except the kitchen sink.  I just came across this nice handbag store online – and I am in love.   I have my eyes on a few of them.

  5. Comfortable Sandals For Travelling

    November 22, 2011 by barbara

My sister who is going on a trip with her girlfriends very soon is on the look out for a pair of comfortable shoes.  She needs one because there will be a lot of walking involve and she needs a pair of shoes that will not tire out her legs.   She does not want sneakers but a pair of stylish sandals.  While my hubby was busy looking for chippewa boots online, I stumbled upon a few pairs of nice sandals which I think my sister would like.

  6. Organizing The Accessories With Trove

    November 21, 2011 by barbara

Right now I am so loving this Trove accessories organizer from  It is a great way organize and display the jewelries.  The Trove features a necklace rail with 12 hooks, a mesh screen for earrings, 4 long hooks for bangles, watches or bracelets, 3 small drawers to hold rings, 2 larger bins for longer items and a slide to the side mirror.  This is just something that I need badly in my bedroom.  My accessories are kept in a big bin and it is hard for me to find them.   With the Trove, I can easily see the necklaces, rings, bracelets that are in my collection. Ok, next I would need to find some organizational bins or shelves to keep my clothes neatly in the closet.

  7. Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head

    November 16, 2011 by barbara

It is the rainy season over here.  Been raining almost every evening for the past 2 weeks.  According to the weather forecast, there is more rain in the coming weeks.  I do not mind the rain.  In fact I love it when it rains.  One thing that I love to do is to wear rain boots.  They are just so adorable.  I have not seen anyone wearing them over here.  Here is a nice umbrella that I want to get.  It would definitely brighten someone’s rainy day.

I have a pretty busy weekend heading my way.  Next week is the last day of school and there is Children’s Day celebration and a Tea Party.   I am making some goodies bags for my daughter’s classmates and have turned to Pinterest for some inspiration and ideas.  Oh what would I do without Pinterest? Below are some of the bag ideas that I may borrow next week.

    Pretty cute eh?

  9. Teacher Appreciation Gifts

    November 8, 2011 by barbara

The time of the year has arrived.  In another 2 more weeks, the long school holidays will began.  I am thinking of getting my daughter’s class teachers a gift each.  I was at Pinterest and saw many great ideas on what to get and how to wrap them.  They are so inspiring.  A friend suggested that I shop Shari’s Berries baskets for the teachers.  Shari’s Berries baskets are great too.  Even I would love to receive one, especially the Spa Gift Basket.

This Waves of the Pacific Bath and Body Gift Basket looks very nice.  It is something that the teachers can use to pamper themselves.

  10. Wish Lanterns For Wedding

    November 4, 2011 by barbara

Recently, I attended my cousin’s wedding which was held at the beach.  The wedding was beautiful and I love how rustic furniture was used as wedding decor. The wedding’s theme was yellow and white.  Mason jars were used to hang tea lights from the palm trees.  There were seashells on the tables and the guest chairs were tied with burlaps and yellow ribbons.  It was just breathtaking.  After the exchanging of vows, my cousin and her groom released a Wish Lantern into the sky.  Wedding lanterns are gaining popularity now and they add an extra special element to the wedding.  You can check out for more information.
