  1. Teacher Appreciation Gifts

    November 8, 2011 by barbara

The time of the year has arrived.  In another 2 more weeks, the long school holidays will began.  I am thinking of getting my daughter’s class teachers a gift each.  I was at Pinterest and saw many great ideas on what to get and how to wrap them.  They are so inspiring.  A friend suggested that I shop Shari’s Berries baskets for the teachers.  Shari’s Berries baskets are great too.  Even I would love to receive one, especially the Spa Gift Basket.

This Waves of the Pacific Bath and Body Gift Basket looks very nice.  It is something that the teachers can use to pamper themselves.

  2. Wish Lanterns For Wedding

    November 4, 2011 by barbara

Recently, I attended my cousin’s wedding which was held at the beach.  The wedding was beautiful and I love how rustic furniture was used as wedding decor. The wedding’s theme was yellow and white.  Mason jars were used to hang tea lights from the palm trees.  There were seashells on the tables and the guest chairs were tied with burlaps and yellow ribbons.  It was just breathtaking.  After the exchanging of vows, my cousin and her groom released a Wish Lantern into the sky.  Wedding lanterns are gaining popularity now and they add an extra special element to the wedding.  You can check out for more information.

  3. The Cupcake Wrapper

    November 2, 2011 by barbara

This week and the week after are going to be busy for me.  Besides helping a friend to look for a debt collection agency, there is a birthday party to attend on Saturday, Children’s Day at my daughter’s school as well as a Tea Party on the last day of school.  I plan to prepare something for the kids in school for Children’s Day and Tea Party.   After seeing the sweet cupcake wrappers at, I am tempted to bake some cupcakes and prepare some party snacks.  These cupcake wrappers are so stylish and are great for decorating the cupcakes.  Can’t wait to get them.

    October 28, 2011 by barbara

I think this Handy Manual Shredder from Poketo is what I need at the office.  Not only would it help to shred important documents and what-have-yous, I can get a little workout while doing it too.  Why? Well you need to crank this shredder manually by turning the the handle.  No electricity is required.  The retractable handle hides neatly on the side and this make storage easier on the shelf or display on the table.

I am in the mood to give my living room a makeover.  I want to repaint the walls to a beige tone and also add some decor accessories around the home.  What do you think of the Acid Etched Letters from Urban Outfitters?  I bet it would look so nice on my display cupboard, next to all the trophies and awards.  It adds a lot of character to my display cupboard.

I was at the mall last weekend and spotted a lady wearing a nice denim  jumpsuit.   It reminded me of the time when I used to own several pieces of denim overalls during my teenage years.  I loved them.  It was very fashionable back in the 80’s.  All my friends have at least one in their closet.  Fast forward, you can now find rompers, jumpsuits or coveralls in different types of material and designs. Check out Price Grabber if you are interested in updating your wardrobe with some lovely jumpsuits.
