  1. No More Wet Umbrellas

    October 12, 2009 by barbara

I just came across this nifty little invention that helps to prevent a dripping umbrella.  With this cool design, you don’t have to worry about a wet umbrella creating a mess in your place.  The Wet Umbrella No More is designed by Seung Hee Son.  Take it out when it rains and when you don’t need it, just fold it away.  The umbrella converts into a stylish bag and all the squishy wet stuff stay inside.

A fun chair with lots of foot.  Designed by Paulius Vitakuskas and available at Gnr8.biz, this Ku Dir Ka rocking is a classic in the futuristic form.  This cool design features point-to-point linear rocking.  This is definitely not your regular rocking chair.  Made from plywood and available in two colours – red and black.  I can picture myself relaxing on this rocking chair, reading the article on adhd in children or the newspaper.

  5. Shoe Closet Makeover With Crocs

    September 30, 2009 by barbara

I love shopping for shoes.  I do not know what it is about shoes but I just adore them.  I have been called a shoeholic by my family and friends.  One of my favorite shoe brands is Crocs.  They are just so comfortable and cool.   There are many different types of Croc shoes.  My first pair of Crocs is the Beach collection in Pearl.   I was so happy when they came out with wedges.  Needless to say, I have a pair of Sassari and Havana in my shoe cupboard now.  My husband is also a big fan of Crocs and since both of us are crazy over them, we also bought a few pairs for our 4 year old daughter.  I just saw their new collection for Fall.  I am so in love with their new Lily.

  6. Recycled Door Curtain

    September 30, 2009 by barbara

If you intend to turn your house into a green home, here is something cool you can get.  A recycled curtain made from plastic flip-flops.  Artisans from Kenya created this unique door curtain of strung beads made from recycled flip-flops that were washed ashore on the Indian Ocean coast.  What a great way to turn thrash into something useful.  Check out Tenthousandvillages.com for more information.

  8. Adding Some Fun To Your Wall

    September 27, 2009 by barbara

I remember playing those little sliding puzzles when I was a kid.  It was a fun game.  Those puzzles are now an inspiration to the Slider Wall Art from Jellio.com.  You can display them with the letters in order on your wall or mix them around. I am sure your guests will have lots of fun with this wall art.  They are also great for housewarming gift or birthday gift.

  9. Dress O Dress

    September 25, 2009 by barbara

I was at the mall yesterday and could not resist going into Banana Republic for a peek.  I saw the most gorgeous silk dress at the store.   It is the Heritage Silk Back-zip Dress.  So simple and elegant.   This dress would be perfect for a party which I will be attending next month.  However, I did not get it.  Well, not yet.   It is the end of the month so I am thinking of buying it once I get my paycheck next month.   I actually took the dress and lined up at the cashier for payment.  Whilst waiting in line (the cashier was fiddling with their POS systems….some error occurred, I think), I changed my mind and put the dress back.   I have been thinking about this lovely Heritage dress all day.  Can’t wait till I get my paycheck.
