  1. Shopping For Housewarming Gift

    December 15, 2009 by barbara

A good friend of mine has just moved into her new home recently.  She’ll be having a housewarming/Christmas party in 2 weeks’ time.  I have been shopping around for a nice housewarming gift for her.  I was looking at some water filters, throws, pots, rugs and many others but I still cannot decide what to get her.  I also came across a lovely candle holder from 2Modern.com.

Since my friend loves having candles around her home, I think this candle holder would make an ideal housewarming gift.

  2. Finger Tongs To Protect Your Fingers When Cooking

    December 14, 2009 by barbara

    tongs

Sometimes when I cook, I would use my fingers to flip the food.  Eventhough I have the spatula with me, it’s still not enough to help me turn some food over.  I’m too lazy to walk over to the other side of my kitchen to get a pair of  chopsticks or a fork to help me.  Hence, I get my fingers burned sometimes. Well, I really do need these finger tongs from fusionbrands.com.  This heat-resistant silicone fingertongs allows me to cook safely with my hands.  It is safe to use on coated pans, FDA food-safe silicone, non-stick and flexible.  Hmmm…Christmas is just around the corner.  I wonder if Santa is going to get me one 😉

  3. Favourite Online Shops

    December 12, 2009 by barbara

While the man is into cars and Ferrari parts, I am into fashionable clothes, shoes, bags and accessories.  I love browsing my favourite stores such as Gap, Forever21, Club Monaco, Anthropologie and more.  A woman can never have too many clothes, shoes and bags.  My husband says that I am a certified shopper.  I am still shopping eventhough my closet is bursting with clothes.  So is my shoe closet :)  Below are some of the nice things I saw today.

  6. Sing To Your Baby

    December 6, 2009 by barbara

It is believed that by playing music to your baby while its still in the womb would work miracles for him/her.  Music helps to improve their visual, auditory and language skills.  It also helps in their development.  If you are expecting a baby and would like to play some music to him/her, then do check out the Lulabelly parental music belt.  This large belt can be worn over the belly and has a built-in speaker which can be connected to an MP3 player.  You can now play music to your baby comfortably and safely. Lullabelly is extremely soft, adjustable, lightweight and machine washable.   It is available in 3 different fabric patterns.   Check out Lullabelly.com for  more information.

  7. Watch TVB 42nd Anniversary Awards Presentation Online

    December 5, 2009 by barbara

The TVB 42nd Anniversary Awards Presentation was held last night.  I am so happy that my favorite actor, Wayne Lai has won the Best Actor award for his portrayal as “Chai Gau” in the drama Rosy Business.  Sheren Tang took home the Best Actress award last night and Rosy Business is the Best Series.  Yay!!!  Congratulations to all the winners.  Have you watched this show yet?  If you haven’t, hurry and go watch it.  I just watched it online just a while ago.  All the actors and actresses were dressed to the nines.  The ladies were clad in beautiful gowns and the men wore smart tuxedos.  Some were more flamboyant like Moses and Ron Ng. I think they would look better in tuxedo vest. Here are some photos of the Red Carpet.

  9. Christmas Shopping For Men

    December 2, 2009 by barbara

The most wonderful time of the year is barely a month away.  Christmas decorations are already up in all the shopping malls.  I just love listening to the Christmas songs being played at the malls.  Have you started your Christmas shopping?  Well, I haven’t but I have a list of things that I would like to get.  I have looked around at some ipods, shirts, ties and digital cameras for my husband.  I am still not sure which one to get for him.  I’ve been thinking…..maybe a stylish Muzetto Laptop Bag from SF Bags since he has been looking for one lately.

  10. Some butter please

    November 30, 2009 by barbara

Some great news for designer lovers out there.  The online magazine, Flamboyant has baked some delicious spoofy spin on designer labels.  Care for some coffee with your buttered Burberry bun?  How about some jam on the Chanel Kaiser Roll?  So, how do you like your breads?
