  1. Brim Toilet Brush

    January 13, 2013 by barbara

I find it rather therapeutic to scrub my toilet bowls.  There are 3 toilet bowls in my house and when I need to de-stress, I would clean the bowls.  Hey, that doesn’t mean that my toilets are not cleaned when I am happy.  If you simply dislike scrubbing on your hands and knees, then you may want to check out this Brim Toilet Brush.  It is engineered to clean thoroughly with its flexible head contours.  The flexible rubber head with bristles can easily flex up and under the rim to clean the bowl.   Available at

  2. Shoes I Heart

Ever since I came across, I am hooked.  I love everything that they have in their website.  From clothes, accessories to home decor items.  Have you visited their website before?  They ship international too!  I think if I were to tell my spouse about Modcloth, he would ask if they also sell motorcycle helmets as well since he is crazy about them at the moment.  I just saw a few pairs of shoes that I absolutely adore.

I am on a mission to keep my accessories in order.  Thus I have been on a lookout for unique jewelry organizers.  I came across this charming set of hooks from  It is crafted from metal with a trio of tiny chromed birds.  This white wall mounted forest offers over thirty places to hang jewelry and whatever knick-knacks or bathroom essentials that you may have.  What  a nice item to keep things organized huh?

  5. Cardboard Playhouses

    December 28, 2012 by barbara

I just discovered these lovely playhouses made from printed recycled cardboard at  These playhouses are designed for kids from 2 years and beyond.  They are easy to assemble and form sturdy yet flexible play spaces which can easily fit inside the home.  When not in use, the cardboard playhouses can be folded up for storage in the closet or under the bed.  I am sure my 7 year old would love to have one.

I am crazy over H&M now.  They have awesome clothes and accessories which I can’t seem to get enough of.  I have been shopping a lot lately for my 7 year old.  I just cannot resist.  Have you checked out their Spring collection?

So colourful and fun right?  I bought a few of these colourful pants for my daughter.  Can’t wait for her to wear them.  I may go back to check out the shoes which I missed the last time I was there.

  8. Make Your Own Gift Tags

    December 18, 2012 by barbara

If you don’t know already, I love wrapping gifts and d-i-y my own gift tags. Thanks to Pinterest and all the crafty blogs out there which leave me very inspired. I do not buy gift tags anymore and for wrapping, I use mainly kraft paper in white or brown. I found some pretty cool ideas on how you can d-i-y the gift tags with washi tapes, doilies and cardboard.

  9. A Girls’ Night Out

    December 13, 2012 by barbara

This weekend I have been invited to a birthday bash of one of my close friends. She will be turning 40 and we plan to have a nice Italian dinner downtown with a few other friends. Right after dinner, we will be hitting the karaoke for some singing and maybe dancing too. I know it is going to be a fun and crazy night. We all love to sing, especially songs in the Eighties, when we were teens. Nothing beats singing with a wonderful vocopro uhf-5805 microphone and dance the night away with your buddies.  I cannot wait to wear my lace print sheer shift dress from Dorothy Perkins.

I was blog-hopping and spotted something which I absolutely adore right now.  It is this wraparound watch from  The watch features long jeweled strands of semiprecious stones and silvertone beads on brown rope which makes the wrist looks like I am wearing a watch with 2 bracelets.  It looks so classy and unique.  The watch has a Japanese quartz movement, mother of pearl face and stainless steel back.  It has an adjustable loop and bead closure.
