    August 12, 2010 by barbara

Oh I have just seen the cutest thing ever.  The Double Dot Mini Cooler from PBTeen.com.   This cool mini cooler is perfect for kids going off to college.  Well, I’m not a teenager but I would love to have this in my room.  The Double Dot Mini Cooler is just perfect for keeping pops or water in the dorm room.  Besides looking very cool, it consumes less power than a regular refrigerator.  Awesome.  Comes in pink and brown.

I saw these cute Okra Mastard Vegetable Keep Sacks from Reuseit.com which are pretty handy in the kitchen. While you may not use it to keep your macanudo cigars,  they are great for keeping potatoes, onions, garlic and more.  These keep sacks protect veggies from the light hence you can have fresher and longer-lasting veggies.   Plus, they do not take up space too.  Just hang them on the wall to keep your veggies.   If you want to waste less food, then do get a few of these keep sacks.

  3. Zara Fall 2010 Collection

    August 10, 2010 by barbara

Zara is one of my favourite stores.  I love its clothing and accessories.  Its everyday casual wear is so chic and stylish.  Zara has recently launched its Fall 2010 campaign.  There are a few pieces of clothing which I absolutely adore, especially the knitwear in soft, neutral mute colours.  Love the Fall colours.  Zara Fall 2010 collection is so simple and cosy looking. The campaign featured model Toni Garrn and was shot by photographer David Sims.

  4. Help Me To Lose Weight

    August 9, 2010 by barbara

Ever since I started going back to work, I have put on weight.  That is because after lunch everyday, I continue to sit in front of the computer.  Hence, my tummy is getting bigger and bigger now. *sigh*  My pants are getting tighter too. *double sigh*  I have been trying to reduce my food intake so that I can lose some weight.  I am keeping my fingers crossed.  If not, I think I would need to get some apidexin.

    August 9, 2010 by barbara

My cousin called me up last night to inform me that her daughter is looking for a good medical assisting school because she is interested in pursuing education in the field of allied health.  Then our conversation went to the latest TVB drama which she is watching now.  My cousin said she is now watching Beauty Knows No Pain.  I am very looking forward to watching this 20-episode TVB drama.  Beauty Knows No Pain replaces When Lane Merge.  It stars some of my favourite actresses such as Michelle Yim, Maggie Cheung and Joyce Tang Lai Ming.  Oh, the actors are Joe Ma Tak Chung and Dominic Lam Ka Wah.   It was during the filming of Beauty Knows No Pain that Michelle’s boyfriend, Wan Chi Keung passed away from cancer.  Tragic.

    Synopsis

WONG HOI KING (Michelle Yim) is successful in both career and love life. However, she accidentally discovers that her husband CHIN KWONG LUNG (Dominic Lam) is committing adultery. In order to maintain the relationship, KING is willing to take the risk of getting pregnant despite her high age. Pregnancy has imposed great pressure on her daily life as well as her career. Her aggressive subordinate SA YUEN KEI (Maggie Cheung) therefore seizes the chance to take up her duties. KEI is a bold and decisive person at work but she is caught in a quadrangular relationship by falling in love with the married man KO CHI LIK (Joe Ma).

Discouraged by the relationship failures of her bosses, secretary YU MAN YAU (Joyce Tang) further loses her confidence. YAU always has a sense of inferiority because of her “outstanding” body shape. Encouraged by her colleague CHI NAM (Power Chan), YAU decides to boost her self-esteem by getting plastic surgery. She immediately becomes the sexiest goddess on the Internet and the hottest brand spokesperson in town. After getting famous and rich, YAU suddenly realizes that this is not what she really wants…

  6. Protect Yourself From Getting Laptop Burns

    August 9, 2010 by barbara

I use my laptop a lot and sometimes I even use it while on my bed.  However I can’t use it for long because the laptop is hot and burns my thigh.  Well, with the Philips 2-in1 Heat Protect Laptop Sleeve, my problem is solved.  This protective case features a three layer cooling lap desk made of neoprene case.   The inside of the sleeve is made of a soft-suede like material.  Its zipper’s teeth are rubberized to prevent scratching of the laptop.  There is also a storage compartment and a hidden handle inside.  Cool huh?

  7. Vintage Cushions

    August 8, 2010 by barbara

I was helping a friend to look for an online printing company for her work when I stumbled upon some lovely cushions at JaneFosterVintageCushions.com.  I like the cute Spring Chicken designs on the cushions.  They are actually hand silk screen printed with based ink onto good quality cotton linen mix fabric. Pretty, don’t you think so?  They are perfect for the children’s bedroom or for those who like a little whimsical touch to your home

  8. Sleep Better With Chin Strap

    August 7, 2010 by barbara

My husband snores a lot and sometimes it disturbs my sleep.  A friend of mine recommends the Cpap Chin Strap from HarrietCarter.com.  The Chin Strap is soft and stretchy.  It holds the jaw up and keeps the mouth closed while sleeping.  This will enable better breathing and improved airflow.  The adjustable strap fits snugly and comfortably.  Perhaps my husband can give this a try.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

  9. Floral Mini Suitcase

    August 7, 2010 by barbara

My friend just called me up to tell me about some great dental care discounts which she found out yesterday. While chatting, she told me that she’s going to a beach holiday next week. Oh how I wish I could go with her.  I love the beach so much.  My friend also told me that she bought a floral meadow mini suitcase from Liberty.co.uk and she’s going to use it to pack her clothes.  I really like the floral mini suitcase.  It reminds me of a suitcase I used to have when I was a kid.

  10. Summer Sales At Calypso St. Barth

    August 4, 2010 by barbara

My husband and I were in the mood for some online shopping last night.  While he was checking out some vga cables, I hopped over to Calypso-Celle.com for some retail therapy.  Boy, I so love their tunics.  I keep telling myself that I should get one and pair it with my shorts but I still couldn’t find one which I really like.   I think every woman should have at least one tunic in their wardrobe.  They are ultra comfortable and so chic too.  Below are a few pieces which I like from Calypso St. Barth.  Good news is that they are having a great sale right now.
