How To Relieve Foot Pain After Wearing Heels

Wearing high heels make an outfit look good and give a woman a taller appearance.  However,  wearing high heels occasionally takes a toll on the spine, ankles, knees, hip and feet.  When a woman wears high heels, it causes the body to lean forward and increased the amount of pressure on the forefoot.  This poor alignment may lead to muscle overuse and back pain.

If you experience lower back pain, it is better that you avoid wearing high heeled shoes.   Here are some recommendations to consider to lower the negative effects of wearing high heels :-

* Avoid wearing heels for long periods of time

*  Stretch your leg muscles before and after wearing them

*  Avoid pointed toe shoes

*  Spend more time resting and less time on your feet.

*  Prop your legs up with a foot rest.  This would help the venous system return blood from your lower body back to your heart and bring down some swelling.

Organize Your Shoes

I love Umbra.  I first discovered it when I was staying in Toronto.  Their designs are intelligent and beautiful.  I love filling my home with Umbra products.  I was browsing its website just now and came across this lovely  shoe rack called Imelda Shoe Rack (yes you heard the name correctly). I like the minimalist design of this rack which can neatly stack the shoes at the entryway.  Besides getting the amplifiers for guitar, I also need a shoe rack like this.

 

 

Native Shoes For Girls

I was walking around the mall yesterday when I saw Native shoes on sale. They are so colourful and bright. Actually I have seen them online and at this shoe store many times but I did not get any for the missy because they are not cheap. However on that day, there was a 50% discount and I was ecstatic. I spotted this one …

 

Alas, they did not have missy’s size.  What a bummer.  I guess we will have to try other stores or perhaps wait for another sale to return.

Good Walking Shoes

I have been looking around for the right shoes for our upcoming family vacation at the end of this year. There will be lots of walking during this trip so I need a pair of really good walking shoes that is comfortable. I know I can wear sneakers but I prefer something more fashionable like Due by FitFlop.  It is built on a super-cushioned and height-enhancing midsole.  I love its fun and feminine look. Now I am wondering if I should splurge on a pair of Due Fitflop.
