Matryoshka Doll Crazy

Ever since a friend asked me where she can find the Matryoshka Nesting Dolls, I became a fan of them.  They are a set of Russian dolls of increasing sizes when placed next to each other.  Aren’t they the cutest thing?  I love how colourful they are.  I was at Etsy a while ago and found a huge range of Matryoshka Dolls.  There are Matryoshka pendants, aprons, laptop sleeves, girls’ dresses with Matryoshka designs, dog collars, etc.  If you are a fan too, then you must check out Etsy.

Father’s Day is almost here.  Dads deserve to be shown just how much he is loved and appreciated daily but sometimes this gesture could be overlooked.  So Father’s Day is a chance where you can show much you care.   What to buy for Father’s Day proves to be a challenge for most of us especially for a dad who has everything.  One of the ways is to give dad a gift certificate to his favorite store.  I have rounded up a list of fun Father’s Day gift ideas for your father.

DIY Gift Wrapping

I have been visiting many craft blogs lately and feeling very inspired.  Perhaps I should start a Craft blog and post about the lovely projects which I have seen.  That way, I can always go back to read them and try to do some of the crafts eh?  What I love most are the creative paper packaging for gifts.  There is nothing better than a simple brown kraft paper as gift wrapper.  There is so much you can do to decorate the gift.

Birthday Presents For A Six-Year Old

My daughter will be celebrating her birthday next month.  I can’t believe that she’s going to be 6 soon.  Time sure flies.  I am planning a simple birthday celebration for her at the park with her friends.  I have been busy planning for her birthday like sending out the invitations, deciding on the type of food and making party packs. When it comes to gift for her birthday, I found a few really awesome things at Personal Creations.  It is really hard to pick out a gift since everything is so lovely there.  Perhaps I could get her aunts and grandparents to buy her gifts at Personal Creations too.  I have narrowed down to a few things.

Birthday Gift For A Six Year Old

My daughter will be celebrating her 6th birthday next month.  I still have not decided what present to give her.  My spouse suggested that we get her a bicycle since she has been asking for one with a basket when she saw it at a bicycle shop in the mall.  Oh, she also prefers one that is pink as pink is her favourite colour.  I wonder if we could find a folding bike too.  It would be easy to bring along to the park.  If not, we may need to get a thule bike rack for our car.

DIY Gift Bows

Before I begin to look for diet pills that work, I thought I would share with you this lovely gift bows idea from How About Orange. Everyone knows that I love paper craft.  So when I saw these pretty recycled gift bows made from yellow pages, I was thrilled.   First, cut out 1 inch wide strips from pages of the book.  Then cut a few full-length strips as well as a few strips that are 3″ shorter.  Form the strips into an “eight” shape and tape the ends in the center.  Arrange the longer strips to form a circle and staple it in the middle.   Repeat with the shorter strips and add the single loop to the center using double-sided tape.  For more craft ideas, do visit How About Orange.
