Besides helping a friend to look for swisher sweet, I am also shopping for some children’s birthday gifts. There is virtually nothing that these creative people cannot do. I get so inspired seeing all the wonderful crafts pinned in this virtual board. I have been looking for Teacher’s Appreciation gift ideas and I found these at Pinterest.
So while the spouse was fixing the corner TV mount in the living room, I was on the internet browsing my favourite stores to look for a gift. My daughter’s birthday is coming up next month. I have been cracking my head on what to do for her birthday. Though there won’t be a big celebration, I would still buy her a cake and prepare some goodie bags for her friends. A dear friend’s birthday is just 2 weeks away. She will be having a little birthday party do at her home with friends and family. I cannot wait to celebrate her birthday as she is turning 40. My friend is the first one in our group of friends to turn 40 so this is very special indeed. A few of us are going to help her put up the decoration for her party. The decor involves lots of heart-shape stuff, banners, sweet paper flowers made from cupcake liners and etc. It is going to be so much fun.
I have been thinking what to get her for her birthday. I found a couple of things which I think she would like.

I was at a craft blog earlier today and stumbled upon a very creative idea of making your own paper flowers. Rhonnadesigns.blogspot.com has a tutorial video on how to make flowers with coffee filters. Ain’t that awesome? It is really very easy to do. All you need is a pack of coffee filters, glue gun and stapler.
These paper flowers are great as gift toppers. Just dress up your gifts with ribbons, customized gift cards, the paper flowers and you are good to go.

Christmas celebration is over. Time sure flies when you are having fun. I had a great time with friends and families these past few days. I have been eating way too much since Christmas Eve too. Now it is back to work time for the next few days until it is time to bid farewell to 2011. In the meantime, I do have to start looking for wedding gifts online. My good friend is getting married in a few month’s time and it is better to start shopping for a wedding gift now.
