A friend of mine is hosting a housewarming party in two weeks’ time.  She moved into her beautiful apartment about a month ago.  I cannot wait to visit her and see her apartment.  My friend is a chef and this means she would be cooking some awesome food for her guests.  I may need to take some myoripped after the party.  As for housewarming gift for my friend, I have narrowed it down to a few items from UnCommonGoods.com.  I still cannot decide which one to get her.

Sleeping Bag, Anyone?

Have you heard of JakPak?  Well outdoor enthusiasts are going to love this.  JakPak is actually a jacket with a built-in tent and a built-in sleeping bag.  How cool is this?  Made from breathable but waterproof urethane coated ripstop nylon / polyester fabric, the sleeping bag can be unfurled from the sides of the jacket.  Great for keeping you warm and cozy for the night.   Next time when you head out to the woods, there is no need to bring along a tent and a sleeping bag.  Just wear a JakPak.  Talk about travelling light.  I am thinking of getting one for my spouse because he enjoys camping with his friends.  I am sure JakPak can also keep his nikon camera batteries and camera safely too.

How To Save Space In The Shoe Closet

My shoe cabinet is packed to the brim.  It does not help that I am a shoeholic.  I need to organize my shoe closet to create more space.  Before I start reading up on the acne treatment, I thought I would check out some shoe organizers online.   I found this Spinning Shoe Organize from HarrietCarter.com.  It features a hanging caddy with 40 pockets and 5 shelves.  Besides holding shoes, it can even hold handbags, scarves and more. This is just what I need to save space.  I can’t wait to get on now and start organizing my closet.  The Spinning Shoe Organizer makes a great gift too.

My Birthday Gifts

It was my birthday yesterday and I had a fantastic day.  My good friends gave me a lovely purse and a beautiful ring for my big day.  My sweet daughter drew me a cute birthday card and was so excited about it.  Someone asked me if my husband gave me a gold bar as gift. No he did not but he did give me some money and asked me to buy whatever I like.   Since Zara is having its annual sale right now, I am thinking of getting these :-

Oh  I am so loving this hole puncher which punches out heart-shaped confetti.  What a cool thing to have in the office or home.  Talk about adding some passion to your paperwork.  I know I would be having loads of fun punching out holes in my paper.  The confetti are good for crafts too.  Hmm…I think I am going to get one for myself and another one as gift for a friend who loves crafts.

My friend just got a Nintendo Wii Fit Plus for Christmas and she is now looking around for wii accessories. Her birthday is coming up in 2 weeks time and I am thinking of getting her the accessories.  I was also looking around at other gift ideas and came across this Aluminium Wall Hanger from Muji.  This versatile hanger is designed to hang by the wall or on flat vertical surfaces such as doors or cabinet drawers.  Have to make a decision very soon.
