Great Kids’ Goodies Bag Ideas
I have a pretty busy weekend heading my way. Next week is the last day of school and there is Children’s Day celebration and a Tea Party. I am making some goodies bags for my daughter’s classmates and have turned to Pinterest for some inspiration and ideas. Oh what would I do without Pinterest? Below are some of the bag ideas that I may borrow next week.
Pretty cute eh?
Teacher Appreciation Gifts
The time of the year has arrived. In another 2 more weeks, the long school holidays will began. I am thinking of getting my daughter’s class teachers a gift each. I was at Pinterest and saw many great ideas on what to get and how to wrap them. They are so inspiring. A friend suggested that I shop Shari’s Berries baskets for the teachers. Shari’s Berries baskets are great too. Even I would love to receive one, especially the Spa Gift Basket.
This Waves of the Pacific Bath and Body Gift Basket looks very nice. It is something that the teachers can use to pamper themselves.
Fondant Dessert Plates
A friend of mine who works in a metal building often lament that she is not happy with her job and wish that she could do just what she loves best – Open a cafe. She loves to bake and often has little tea parties for her friends. She has been feeling rather unhappy lately so in order to cheer her up, I got her a gift. I saw this box of Cath Kidston Cupcake Liners from Shopruce.com recently and know that my friend is going to love them. This vintage inspired cupcake liners come in sky blue with white polka dots, coral with white stars, pink with white polka dots, and light green with white stars. The cupcakes will definitely look tastier in these cute liners.
Nice?
My To-Do List
Things have been pretty hectic for the past week. There was a get-together over the weekend, dinner with friends, errands to run and not to mention grocery shopping. Besides all that, I need to help a friend to look for life insurance online quotes and also try to make this DIY Citrus Salt Scrub. I saw this fantastic recipe at Pinterest ( via http://www.kristanlynn.com) it looks pretty easy to make. If it turns out good, I think I would make a few jars for my girlfriends whom I would be meeting next month. If you would like to give it a try, check out the recipe below.
You will need:
1 cup of sea salt
1/4 cup almond oil (can substitute olive oil or vegetable oil)
1/2 tsp lemon juice (or zest)
1/2 tsp orange zest
Mix:
Firstly, mix the oil and sea salt together (Add a bit of oil at a time, you may not need all that is called for!)
Add orange zest.
Drizzle the lemon juice over the salt and oil mix ((you do not want too much lemon juice, or else your mixture will become a watery consistency.)
Mix well.
How to exfoliate:
Clean body as normal in shower.
Just before getting out, apply salt scrub in a firm circular motion all over body.
Concentrating on those knees and elbows
Rinse and pat dry with towel.
Something Vintage
My heart skipped a beat when I discovered this cute little shop called House8810. It has the most funky and cutest things. I was browsing the shop for over an hour, taking my time slowly to look at each and every item in their shop. Seeing those things brought a smile to my face, just like my other half when he is shopping for his car accessories like suv floor mats or rims. Check out House8110 and you would know what I mean.

Mini Cooler That Is So Cool
While the spouse and his friend were discussing about gps map, I was surfing the internet for some birthday gift ideas for a friend’s 17 year old daughter. I came upon this funky mini cooler from Pottery Barn. Oh it is just so cute. This mini fridge can keep four soda cans and consumes less power than a traditional refrigerator. I think it is the perfect gift for a teenager, don’t you think so? I may just get another one for my office.
