Staying Fit & Trim In 2009

I started to go on a diet about 6 months ago.  Since then, I have lost about ten pounds. Yay!!!  I am so happy and proud of myself for following strictly with the diet.  I feel great now because I have lost 2 dress sizes.  It is certainly not easy being on a diet. I cannot eat most of the things that I enjoy such as muffins, scones, bagels, pastas, noodles and everything that has a lot of carbo.  I am trying my best to maintain my current weight now by still continuing with the diet.  However, I have decided to let go every Sunday and this means I get to eat whatever I want on that.  I try not to go crazy stuffing myself with food on Freedom day but eat moderately instead.  With this arrangement, I hope my cravings for certain food will reduce.

One of my wishes or resolutions for this year is to stay fit and healthy.  I intend to join a yoga class in the morning after my toddler has gone to school. She goes to school for 3 hours daily so that is the best time for some “ME” time.  Before I could check out a gym class in my neighbourhood, a friend of mine suggested that I join her for Line Dancing class.  Ain’t that great?  I love to dance.   My friend has been with the class for 5 months now and yesterday, I followed her to class to check it out.   I really enjoyed it although I find that the line dancing steps are pretty tough to follow.  Well, I am sure with a lot of practice and perseverance, I will be able to dance just like the ladies in the line dancing class.  Now, all I have to do is to start shopping for some exercise gears such as tights and t-shirts,.  I also need a pair of good shoes for dancing so I will be checking out some stylish and comfortable shoes. Oh I also need a few pairs of socks too 🙂
