Minari is a critically acclaimed movie about a Korean-American family that was set in the 1980s in Arkansas. This story is about a family who moved from California to Arkansas in search of their own American Dream. This beautiful coming of age tale is based loosely on the director, Lee Isaac’s own childhood growing up on his family’s farm.
The film stars Steven Yeun, Yeri Han, Alan Kim, Noel Kate Cho, and Yuh-Jung Youn. It has taken home the prize for Best Foreign Language Film in the Golden Globe Awards and nominated in six categories for 2021 Oscars. Yuh-Jung Youn won the Best Supporting Actress for her role as the grandmother.
