Personalized Plates For Children

We still cannot decide what toys to get our daughter for Christmas.  She did tell us that she would like to have a High School Musical school bag 🙂 I was looking around on the internet and saw the cute personalized Alphabet Plates.   Meal time have never been this magical.   Made of melamine,  you can pick a hair style, hair colour, eye colour, skin colour, accessories, the colour of the plate and personalized words or name for your child’s plate.  What a cool idea.  Maybe we should also get her a personalized plate.  Oh so many things to choose from.   I hope we can make up our mind very soon.

Pretty Leg Warmers For Fall

Leg warmers were the fashion staplers in the 70’s and 80’s.  Remember Flashdance and the aerobic-crazy trend?  It was fun and cool to wear them and I signed up for an aerobic class after watching Flashdance just so that I can wear leg warmers.   Like heated blanket, leg warmers are cozy accessories to help keep your legs warm in winter. Birthday Gift For A 40 Year Old

An ex-schoolmate of mine celebrated her 40th birthday recently.  A few of us, ten ex-schoolmates got together and celebrated her birthday at a local restaurant.  It was a lovely celebration as well as a get-together for everyone since most of us have not seen each other for a while.  Guess what we got our dear friend as birthday present.  A stunning necklace created with ivory chiffon flowers and an intricate sequin flower in grey.  The Vivienne necklace is from PrismeraDesign.com.

Ballet Flats Are Wardrobe Staples In Every Closet

I was relaxing on the log furniture after dinner at my friend’s house a few days ago when she brought out her new pair of ballet flats to show me.  I was over the moon to see her shoes.  In case you don’t know, I am into ballet flats now.  They are just the prettiest shoes on earth.  Ultra feminine and oh so stylish, the ballet flats are very popular for those who want to dress up without adding height or putting a strain on your feet.  My friend bought hers from Pretty Ballerinas.  Below are a few of my favorite ballet flats.   The one in red may soon be mine.

Tote Bag For Men

It is not easy to find a nice tote for the man.  He does not want something that is too girly-looking but big enough to carry all his necessities.  While browsing the internet, I came across this Tote Bag for Men from TempleBags.com.  It is made out of re-purposed WWII military issue parachutes.  Cool eh?  What’s great about this nylon bag is it is lightweight and can be folded into a 4″ x 4″ pocket-size when not in use.   Let me check with my man and see if he likes it or not.

Recycled Wine Bag Or Wine Caddy

While my husband while busy helping his friend to look up the 5th wheel warranty, I was scouring the internet for unique wine bags or wine holders.  We have a party to attend next weekend and we would like to present the host with a bottle of good wine.  I figure that a nice wine holder would be better than the normal gift bag.  I found the most lovely wine bag at The West End.  It is made of discarded newspaper and coated in plastic.

Another one which I like is the one below which is made from pages of twisted old magazines.   Using these recycled wine caddy or wine bag to carry the wine bottles is rather eye-catching, don’t you think so?

Protect Yourself From Getting Laptop Burns

I use my laptop a lot and sometimes I even use it while on my bed.  However I can’t use it for long because the laptop is hot and burns my thigh.  Well, with the Philips 2-in1 Heat Protect Laptop Sleeve, my problem is solved.  This protective case features a three layer cooling lap desk made of neoprene case.   The inside of the sleeve is made of a soft-suede like material.  Its zipper’s teeth are rubberized to prevent scratching of the laptop.  There is also a storage compartment and a hidden handle inside.  Cool huh?

I was helping a friend to look for an online printing company for her work when I stumbled upon some lovely cushions at JaneFosterVintageCushions.com.  I like the cute Spring Chicken designs on the cushions.  They are actually hand silk screen printed with based ink onto good quality cotton linen mix fabric. Pretty, don’t you think so?  They are perfect for the children’s bedroom or for those who like a little whimsical touch to your home

Floral Mini Suitcase

My friend just called me up to tell me about some great dental care discounts which she found out yesterday. While chatting, she told me that she’s going to a beach holiday next week. Oh how I wish I could go with her.  I love the beach so much.  My friend also told me that she bought a floral meadow mini suitcase from Liberty.co.uk and she’s going to use it to pack her clothes.  I really like the floral mini suitcase.  It reminds me of a suitcase I used to have when I was a kid.
