Keeping The Kids Busy At The Restaurant

I was at the mall yesterday looking for a memory foam topper so that I can sleep better at night.  After walking for a while, my friend and I settled down at a bistro for lunch.   While waiting for our food to arrive, my friend took out the A-Z colouring placemat to keep her child entertained.   The placemats look like big flashcards and are fun for children to colour.  My friend bought a stack of them which consists 26 sheets featuring animals from A to Z.   She just keeps them in her bag and take them out whenever she wants to keep her child entertained.

10 Steps To Make A Pinata

Recently I attended a birthday party of a 7 year old boy which was held in his home.  The birthday theme is Splish Splash and there were a few pools filled with for the kids to play in.   After the cake blowing session, all the kids had a chance to beat a horse-shaped pinata.  A pinata doesn’t come cheap over here.  I was told that the parents paid RM170 for it.  Crazy right?  I just discovered this website where we can learn how to make a pinata in just 10 steps.  Here is the link :-  10 Steps To Make A Pinata.  Since I like doing craft so much, I want to try making a pinata for my daughter’s birthday next year.

DIY Pinata For Birthday Parties

I think for the past month, I attended at least 5 birthday parties, including my 7 year old’s party.  There is another birthday celebration coming up in a couple of week’s time which I have blogged about earlier.   Last weekend, I was at the birthday party of my friend’s 10 year old son.   The birthday boy is a music lover and he is taking drums and guitar lessons now.  Some of the birthday gifts he received include SKB Cases for his guitar and drum.  Such a lucky kid huh?   So at the party, there was a pinata which my friend made.  I was pretty impressed with my friend’s creativeness.  She told me she followed the steps from OhHappyDay.com on how to DIY the pinata.  That is just awesome.  I can’t wait to try doing one myself.  So if you are planning to get a pinata for a birthday party, why not check out OhHappyDay and make one yourself?

Eco-Friendly Box Play

Right after I have checked out the answering services for our new office, I went online to visit my favourite shopping blogs earlier today.  That was when I stumbled upon this awesome website that sells eco-friendly, 100% recycled custom-designed stickers that are just great for children play.  Box Play For Kids turn old cereal boxes, milk cartons, toilet paper rolls, shoe boxes or any cardboard boxes into new toys for kids.   Ain’t that fun?  This is so good for the kids’ imagination.   So, if you are looking for green crafts for your children, do hop over to Box Play For Kids today.

I am A Pinaholic

Did I mention that I love Pinterest?  I can actually spend hours just browsing this site.  I bet all Pinterest fans do that.  With 15 Boards and 890 pins, I am a Pinaholic.  You can find virtually anything in Pinterest such as Film, Fitness, Technology and even what is the best cable tray. Besides fashion and food recipes, my favourite category is craft.  There is virtually nothing that these creative people cannot do.  I get so inspired seeing all the wonderful crafts pinned in this virtual board. I have been looking for Teacher’s Appreciation gift ideas and I found these at Pinterest.

Buntings & Banners

While the spouse was busy checking out the ceiling lights for our living room, I have been on the computer for a while now, looking for buntings.  Recently, I have been rather obsessed with buntings.  Many people posted DIY buntings at Pinterest and I became hooked.  I would love to decorate my daughter’s bedroom with some buntings.  Maybe I can create some myself or get them at Hip Hooray.  This online store has a wide variety of buntings, flags, pennants, garlands or whatever you might called them.  All their products are made with sustainable materials and are designed to be reused many times, and can be 100% recycled.

more washi tapes love

Yes, I am crazy over washi tapes.  I just cannot get enough of them.  After polishing my puzzle ring last night, I decided to browse the internet, looking for inspiration on how to wrap some gifts.   I was so happy to spot these spotted washi tapes from PaperMash.co.uk (pun intended).  They are just so pretty and I think I want to get a few different designs.   I found some great gift-wrapping ideas on Pinterest and I am going to try them out when I get my new washi tapes.
