Birthday Gift Ideas For A Friend

A dear friend’s birthday is just 2 weeks away. She will be having a little birthday party do at her home with friends and family. I cannot wait to celebrate her birthday as she is turning 40. My friend is the first one in our group of friends to turn 40 so this is very special indeed. A few of us are going to help her put up the decoration for her party. The decor involves lots of heart-shape stuff, banners, sweet paper flowers made from cupcake liners and etc. It is going to be so much fun.

I have been thinking what to get her for her birthday. I found a couple of things which I think she would like.

Gold Peter Pan Collar from Dorothy Perkins. My friend loves tops with Peter Pan collar so I think she would really like this gold collar.

Tan East/West Shopper from Dorothy Perkins. She has been looking around for a shopper and since orange is her favourite colour, I think she would like this bag.

Beautiful candlewick bedspreads from Damart. Pink is her favourite colour and just recently, she was saying that she would like to get a new bedspread. So, do you think she would like this lovely Dusky Pink candlewick bedspread?

Cream and Crystal Necklace from Dorothy Perkins. I just love the simplicity of this necklace.

It is so hard to make a decision on which to choose for my friend. Perhaps I should get a few of them as gifts for her.

Cool Fingers For The Kitchen

I can’t tell you how many times I have hurt my fingers while trying to hold on to hot bowls and plates from the microwave. Well, with this Cool Fingers from Perpetual Kid, you won’t be hearing anymore loud “Ouch” from me. It is made of silicone and can stand the heat. Just wipe off to clean it. Easy peasy.

I have a thing for this mystical and majestic animal. This Valentina Ramos Aaron Shower Curtain will certainly make the bathroom more fun. Besides helping a friend to look for heated car seat covers, I am also shopping for hostess gift. My cousin is hosting a dinner party next weekend at her home. It is a family get-together party and I would like to present her with a hostess gift. I was at Jonathan Adler and came across this lovely Elephant Butter Dish. Ain’t that cute? My cousin is an elephant lover like me and I am sure she would like this gift.

I am in the mood to give my living room a makeover. I want to repaint the walls to a beige tone and also add some decor accessories around the home. A friend of mine is into Matryoshka Nesting Dolls and this has rubbed off on me. Whenever I see a Matryoshka doll, I would get excited. Useful Kitchen Gadgets

I just saw a few items at The Kitchen outlet that are very handy for the home. I could do with a few of these items. They will certainly make my life easier.

IMCG Plate Spacer. These are plastic blocks that should be place at three different sides of a plate. They help to pile the plates nicely to save space and time.

Norpro Apple Corer which features stainless steel blades that cuts into 8 even wedges.

Chef’N High Tailer Shrimp Deveinier. This is just what I need because I do not like to peel and devein shrimps. Just give it a simple squeeze and the stainless steel end would do everything in just one step.
