Tony Leung and Carina Lau, one of Hong Kong’s most celebrated couple had their wedding in Bhutan.  The lavish wedding was held at the luxurious Uma Paro hotel. As the couple wanted the wedding to be private and peaceful, the hotel was heavily guarded to keep the paparazzi at bay.  There were about 80 or so guests at their wedding. Celebrity guests include filmmaker Stanley Kwan, actress Brigitte Lin, and former pop diva Faye Wong and her actor husband, Li Yapeng.  Wong Kar-Wai, the award-winning film director was in charge of planning the wedding. It was rumoured that the dowry cost HK1mil and Carina’s diamond ring is worth HK2mil.  Tony Leung, 46, and Carina Lau, 42, have been together for 19 years.  The happy couple looked so beautiful in the traditional Bhutan costume as well as in the modern wedding attire.  Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Leung 🙂

The Bradgelina Twins Have Arrived

Angelina Jolie has given birth to twins on Saturday night.  The twins’ daddy, Brad Pitt was by their mommy’s side during the birth.  The caesarian went well and the babies and Angelina are doing well.  The twins were delivered at the seaside Lenval hospital in Nice in southern France.  It was reported that Jolie arrived by helicopter on the hospital’s rooftop helipad.  The baby boy’s name is Knox Leon and the girl is named Vivienne Marcheline.  The Bradgelina already have four children: 6 years old Maddox, 4 years old Pax, 3 years old Zahara, and 2 years old Shiloh.

Prima Princessa Presents Swan Lake

Recently I was requested to review Prima Princessa Presents Swan Lake DVD and of course, I jumped at the chance.  My three year old daughter loves to dance and I am looking forward to sending her to a ballet school when she turns 4.  The 40-minute video is about the story of Swan Lake, performed by the Paris Opera Ballet and is narrated by a lovely and chic fairy called Prima Princessa. When I played the enchanting DVD to my daughter, she was mesmerised.  To be honest, even I enjoyed watching it.  I also got to learn a thing or two about ballet.  I know what “Piroutte”, “Jete”, “Pas de Chat” means now 🙂 

My daughter tried to copy the dance moves when she saw the children in tutus playing and dancing in the video. She was also captivated by the Dance of The Baby Swans scene.  After we finished watching it, my daughter tells me that she wants to learn ballet and she has been twirling around the house doing piroutte 🙂  My daughter even wants me to play the Prima Princessa Swan Lake DVD over and over again.

What I loved about this DVD is that each ballet position segment is repeated twice to teach the children about the various ballet steps.  The dance moves demonstrated by the students of School of the American Ballet are easy to follow.  I also love that the Swan Lake performance was divided into a few chapters and there are between acts by little ballerinas jumping and dancing in their lovely tutus, tiaras and earrings.  This certainly makes it more interesting for the children.

David Beckham’s Armani Ad

Have you seen the latest Emporio Armani ad campaign poster featuring David Beckham?  One word – HOT!!!  When the ad was unveiled recently in San Francisco, hordes of female fans screamed into a delirium.  I sure don’t blame them.  This is the LA Galaxy star’s first US advertisement for the Italian designer.  This three-year deal is rumoured to be worth about $40 million and his images will be plastered on billboards in cities like New York, London, LA, Milan, Paris, Rome and Tokyo.  These promotional ads feature the hunk wearing tight and bulging white briefs at the beach.  Here are some photos of David Beckham in Armani briefs.
