old things, new uses

I came across some really good ways to repurpose everyday items from RealSimple.com.  I never knew so many things can be so useful, just like auto insurance.  I definitely  look at things in a different way now.  Here are some of my favorites.

wd40

1) WD 40

It can be used to remove crayons from any surface such as plastic, metal, TV screens or freshly painted walls. Just apply a small amount and rub away with a clean cloth.

2)  Mayonnaise

It can be used to remove old stickers from mirrors, glass and bumpers.  Just apply a generous helping to persistent adhesives and scrape it off with a putty knife.

3)  Laundry bag

Great for keeping lids, baby bottle caps and other small items from falling through the dishwasher rack.

4)  Pillowcases

They can be used to clean a ceiling fan.  Just slide an old pillowcase over a blade, then grip the case and pull it back.  This will keep the dirt contained.

5)  Newspaper

When your container has smell, just use some newspaper and put it into a plastic container, seal it and let it sit overnight.  By next day, all the smell will be absorbed by the newspaper.  What a great Food container deodorizer.
